RESYS is a worldwide unique wireless (and optionally wired) full duplex rescue communication system, designed to be used in underground excavation mines including places susceptible to firedamp and/or combustible dust.
RESYS system is designed mostly for wireless radio communication between the underground emergency marshal equipped with M1 Base and the members of the mine rescue team equipped with personal PC1 Communicators and for the wireless communication between the members of the rescue team.
Voice communication is full-duplex – simultaneously in both directions (just like mobile telephony).
The RESYS system holds the following patents: European (EP 3400658), South Africa (ZA 201900169), United States of America (US 10,749,621) and Australia (AU 2021286261).
Presentation from the implementation of RESYS in Australia. Proceedings of the IMRB conference in 2023.
